FORE-get Your Worries: BINDT North East Scotland Swings Back Into Action!

It’s time to tee up for one of the most anticipated events on the NDT calendar — the annual BINDT North East Scotland Branch Golf Outing is back, and it’s shaping up to be a cracking day on (and off) the course!

Grab your clubs (and maybe a crack detector or two for fun) because on Friday, 29th August 2025, the NDT community will be trading flaws for fairways at the stunning Edzell Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Angus.

With a total entry fee of just £52, you’ll get far more than just a round of golf — this is a full-day experience designed to bring together professionals from across the industry for some friendly competition, top-tier banter, and a well-earned break from the day job.

Here’s what’s in store:

  • 🥣 Soup & Sandwiches to kick things off from 11am (fuel for peak performance!)

  • ⛳ 18 Holes of Golf on one of Scotland’s finest inland courses (Tee times: 11.30am–12.52pm)

  • 🍽️ A Two-Course Carvery to reward your efforts on the green

  • 🏆 Prize-Giving to wrap up the day (no visual aids required – the smiles will say it all!)

Whether your swing is calibrated or you’re more of a “non-conforming indication” on the course, there’s something for everyone. As always, spaces are limited to just 45 players — so it’s strictly first-come, first-inspected.

So dust off those clubs, polish your shoes (or at least try to find them), and come join us for a day of networking, laughs, and maybe even the odd par or two. After all, where else can you discuss phased arrays and fairways in the same breath?
