Pre-Requisites
Please ensure you provide a copy of Annex D of your PCN24/CP16 application for the Assessor to add information/sign accordingly.
Certification
Upon successful completion of all practical samples, you will be awarded a Certificate of Training.
This certificate must be submitted alongside your completed PCN24/CP16 form to BINDT as evidence of your practical training for it to be accepted.

Exam Content
The CP16 Practical Competency Assessment will consist of testing/reporting on practical training samples relevant to the PCN certification you wish to renew.

CP16 Overview:
PCN CP16 outlines how NDT professionals can renew or recertify their PCN certificates, usually valid for 5 years.

Level 1 & 2 (Issue 01): Can renew without an exam by earning credit points, half of which must be from supervised or surveillance activities.

Level 1 & 2 (Issue 02): Recertification exam required through a BINDT-approved exam centre.

Level 3: Can renew via exam or credit points.
Credit points come from training, supervision, technical activities, and professional development.

Duration
Duration Options for CP16 Practical Training Assessment:
- 1 Full Day
In accordance with PCN24/CP16, successful completion of one day of practical training awards 2 points towards certification. A maximum of 5 points (equivalent to 5 days of training) can be claimed per year.
