Ultrasonic Testing Inspection (SNT) Nozzle &/or Node – Supplementary Examination

If you are looking to add UT Nozzle &/or Node to your current UT Weldments qualification, you have reached the right page!

Please note: In order to be eligible for UT  Supplementary Examinations you must sit the UT Supplementary examination not later than 6 months of your current UT Weldments SNT qualification.

If you have fall within the 6 month period you will be required to sit the UT Weldments SNT Recertification examination for the UT configurations you current hold on your UT SNT qualification.

Pre-Requisites

Has some knowledge of UT Nozzle &/or Node Configurations and has a good understanding of UT weldments through UT weldments qualification.

UT – SUPPLEMENTARY TRAINING

Please Note: 1-2 Days of Supplementary Training is recommended before attempting the UT Supplementary Examination.

Whats included in Supplementary training?

By booking in Supplementary training, the student will receive training on the elements that may be covered in the examination (UT Nozzle/Node configurations). This will include calibration of probes, testing relevant UT practical samples (inc. Tee weld, full pen/part pen nozzle samples and full pen node samples). With the guidance from our UT Trainers, practical reports will be briefed on their performance during the supplementary training prior to the student sitting the examination.

Please note: Supplementary Training is not a one-to-one basis. The Student will be initially be set up by the UT Trainer, shown the requirements of UT Nozzle/Node and will be available to answer any questions between their respective duties.

Exam Content

This SNT examination may consist of the following elements as per your Company Written Practice (CWP)

  • 3 practical samples:
    • 2x Nozzle Samples
    • 1x Node Sample

If the candidate(s) is not familiar with the UT Sets supplied by Array Training (Sonatest: UT Wave or UT D20+) and would benefit from a refresher on setting up this equipment, please book in for half day or full day training.

Duration

The duration for this examination will be approx. 1 Day.
