Course Overview

Following on from the NDT Vision Training conducted by a medically recognized practice, the ‘Importance of NDT Vision Testing’ course, provided by Array Training Aberdeen, offers a more in-depth session tailored for medically trained employees. This course covers the employers company specific vision test requirements, test administration procedures, colour deficiency testing, and the overall significance of conducting NDT eyesight tests for personnel holding NDT qualifications.

To maintain valid NDT certifications, annual vision tests are mandatory.

The training will cover the following key areas:

✅ PCN/SNT Vision Test Administration Requirements
✅ Colour Deficiency Testing
✅ History and Application of Vision Testing
✅ Vision Test Procedures for Employees and Employers
✅ NDT Vision Testing Equipment, Including:

• Ishihara Color Vision Test
• Shades of Grey Trade Test
• Near Vision Test
• Far Vision Test (if required)

Course Objectives

Attendees will gain an understanding of PCN/SNT NDT vision test requirements, importance of maintaining NDT vision requirements, use of the common NDT vision test equipment.
