Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PCN) – Initial Examination

If your PT PCN Level 2 qualification expired more than 10 months ago, you’ve attempted all PCN retests, or you’re beyond the latest exam date shown on your results notice—you’re on the right page!

Pre-Requisites

Please provide the following when booking your exam:

  • PT L2 certification, or PT results notices (if all retest attempts have been used)

  • BINDT PSL57A – Exam Application: Download Here

  • BINDT PSL30 – Log of Experience: Download Here

    (if your certification expired over 2 years ago)

Exam Content

This PCN examination will consist of the following elements as per BINDT PCN GEN  View BINDT Documents here

  • Prelims (light checks)
  • Written instruction
  • 3 practical samples:
    • 1x weld sample
    • 1x forged sample
    • 1x cast sample

Duration

Examination – Approx. 6-7 hours.

Refresher Training (Optional) – Choose from Half Day, Full Day, or more! The duration can be tailored to fit your needs.

Price

Examination Cost: £449 + VAT

All examination costs include the PCN Certification Admin Fee and PED Admin Fee.

Refresher Training – Half Day £140 + VAT / Full Day £220 + VAT
