Liquid Penetrant Inspection (SNT) – Recertification

If your current PT SNT qualification is due to expire or has expired within the last 6 months, you have reached the right page!

SNT Recertification Timeframe – Candidates must sit their SNT recertification examination either within 6 months prior to or up to 6 months after the certification expiry date.

Please note: Sitting the recertification exam after the expiry date does not extend the validity of the original certificate—only the window in which the exam can be taken. If the exam is not completed within this timeframe, the candidate must undergo the full initial examination.

 

Pre-Requisites

Holds a valid/current PT SNT L2 Qualification

Copy of the SNT qualification must be attached while booking in, press book an exam.

Exam Content

This SNT recertification examination may consist of the following elements (examination content is in accordance with the Employers SNT-TC-1A Company Written Practice):

  • *Specific Theory Paper
  • 3 practical samples
    • 1x weld sample
    • 1x forged sample
    • 1x cast sample

* The specific paper will be in accordance with the industry standard reference in your company’s CWP document and inspection procedure. Array Training recommend reviewing the company’s inspection procedure and related industry standard before attempting your Specific Theory Paper.

Duration

Examination – Approx. 4.5 hours.

Refresher Training (Optional) – Choose from Half Day, Full Day, or more! The duration can be tailored to fit your needs.

Price

Examination Cost: £225 + VAT

Refresher Training – Half Day £140 + VAT / Full Day £220 + VAT

SNT Bookings – Self-Sponsored Candidates
Please note that SNT certification is issued under a company-specific scheme. Therefore, regardless of whether the candidate has self-funded the training and examination, the certificate will be sent directly to the sponsoring company, as their name will appear on the certificate.

 

Availability: Choose any Monday / Tuesday Wednesday of any week, press book an exam to add your preferred dates.
